Scholarships

Thomas E. Lamm, Jr. is a first year student in the College of Management at North Carolina State University and received the Bruce Lowe Scholarship for the 2008-2009 school year. Thomas will be studying finance and will be making preparations for law school. He would like to be a corporate attorney. He attends Fellowship Baptist Church in Creedmoor and is very active in missions. Thomas is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Thomas E Lamm, has two older and one younger sister.

Janet Kay Potter, a second year student in the College of Management at NC State University, received a Bruce Lowe scholarship the 2006-2007 school year and the 2007-2008 school year. Janet, who is a lifeguard at the school, is studying to be an accountant when she graduates in 2010, and she's hoping to be an accountant for her favorite sports team, the Braves. Daughter of Terry Kay Potter and Lori Ann Jones Potter, Janet Kay has an older brother, Jed, who attends Appalachian State, and a younger sister, Reba, who is a senior in high school.
Update from our recent scholarship winner…

Alison Furr is the recipient of the Bruce Lowe Memorial Scholarship for the 2007-2008 academic year at NC State University. Daughter of Martha and Barry Furr of Albemarle, NC, Alison graduated in the top 10 of her class at West Stanly High School. She will be a freshman this year and will be majoring in Business Management. Alison plans to become a finance manager and hopefully obtain an MBA degree. Her interests include traveling and music.
